GLFA .223 WYLDE Rifle

Here’s What I Have to Say

This rifle is my pride and joy. It’s a modern sporting rifle that will fire both .223 and 5.56 with more precision than either original chamber. The WYLDE is a match chamber that works safely with both ammo types, and with less variance between shots than either would originally.

This rifle is a very well-built, tight-fit AR style weapon. The barrels and receivers are made in-house, and all three primary parts are custom fitted. The Result is a rifle that doesn’t wobble or shift when you shoulder it. That’s a tough bill for an AR.

This rifle is the absolute best of it’s type for under $1200. And it’s Only $800

I sold my old Winchester 30/30 and my Ruger American to get this. It’s worth it.

Mine shoots .223 flawlessly and handles the higher pressure 5.56 with more accuracy than the original chamber. It’s technically a custom match-grade .223 chamber designation.

They make a lot of other rifles in various calibers and configurations. The .223 WYLDE is just the most simplistic and practical for general use and hunting small game up to Whitetail deer. With ammo like Winchester Deer Season XP or Federal Fusion .223, it’s deadly on whitetail.

That’s all my 87 year old neighbor hunts with anymore. Hit the lungs and they don’t go far.

11 rounds with open sights at 50 yards, that’s a 1-3/4 inch group. Not bad at all.

Here’s What Others Have to Say

Locally, GLFA (or Great Lakes as it’s known) is a synonym for accuracy and reliability. At the gun club, I hear “that must be a Great Lakes if it shoots that well” and “yup, I want one of those rifles”. Everyone expect them to out shoot your average AR by a considerable margin.

The GLFA .223 WYLDE is their most popular rifle, and I know dozens of guys who have them. Out of ten modern rifles at my local gun club, at least a few will be a GLFA rifle.

More About GLFA

They’re most popular with the deer hunting crowd, especially with their 350 legend and 450 Bushmaster chamberings.

Their Most popular rifle is currently running $800 and it’s a better gun than what $1200 usually gets you.

You can order from their website as long as it runs through your local FFL, or you can check to see if your local gun store would just order one. If you’re near Sparta, Michigan, you can drop in during open business hours to make a purchase.

GLFA is a Michigan gunmaker near me, which is why I heard about them so soon. I have put this rifle through the ringer and it’s absolutely outstanding. The machine techs at GLFA genuinely understand what goes into good AR, and they don’t cut corners. These are accurate out of the box, and reliable as dirt.

If per chance you ever did have a problem, they will bend over backwards to make it right.
